1. DETTIFOSS
Dettifoss was built in Denmark in 1995 and is the 5th vessel with that name. The vessel came in service for Eimskip in 2000, at the same time as it’s sister vessel Godafoss. Dettifoss calls ports in Iceland, The Faroe Islands and Northern Europe operating on the blue line (Reykjavik – Reydarfjordur – Thorshavn – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Aarhus – Thorshavn – Reykjavik – Grundartangi).
2. GODAFOSS
Godafoss was built in Denmark in 1995 and is the 6th vessel named Godafoss. The vessel came in service for Eimskip in 2000 and is still operating on the blue line, calling Iceland, Faroe Islands and Northern Europe (Reykjavik – Reydarfjordur – Thorshavn – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Aarhus – Thorshavn – Reykjavik – Grundartangi). The first vessel named Godafoss was in Eimskip’s service from 1915 until 1916. Godafoss is named after one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfall placed in the northeast part of the country.
3. BAKKAFOSS
Bakkafoss was built in China in 2014. It is the fifth vessel bearing the name Bakkafoss operating for Eimskip. Bakkafoss is the sister vessel of Lagarfoss. Bakkafoss serves the yellow line and calls ports in Iceland, The Faroe Islands and Northern Europe operating (Reykjavik – Vestmannaeyjar – Thorshavn – Immingham – Vlissingen – Rotterdam – Immingham – Reykjavik – Grundartangi). The first vessel bearing the name Bakkafoss was built in 1963 and was in operation for Eimskip until 1974.
4. LAGARFOSS
Lagarfoss is Eimskip’s newest vessel and was built in China 2014. It is the 7th vessel named Lagarfoss. The first Lagarfoss was in service 1917 until 1949 or for 32 years, no other vessel has been in service for the company that long. Lagarfoss like Bakkafoss is Calling Iceland, The Faroe Islands, The UK and Northern Europe on the yellow line (Reykjavik – Vestmannaeyjar – Thorshavn – Immingham – Vlissingen – Rotterdam – Immingham – Reykjavik – Grundartangi). She delivers fresh fish from the clean waters of the North Atlantic to fish markets in Europe.
5. REYKJAFOSS
Reykjafoss was built in the year 1999 and sails on the Green Line (Reykjavik – Argentia – Halifax – Portland – Argentia – St. Anthony – Reykjavik).
6. SKOGAFOSS
Skogafoss an iconic waterfall in the south of Iceland is the waterfall that the vessel Skogafoss is named after. Skogafoss is the 4th vessel named after this waterfall in operations for Eimskip and was built in 2007 and 2008. The first Skogafoss was in service for Eimskip from 1965 until 1980. Same as Reykjafoss, this vessel sails on the green line (Reykjavik – Argentia – Halifax – Portland – Argentia – St. Anthony – Reykjavik).
7. BLIKUR
Blikur was built in the year 2003 and sails on the Gray Line (Reykjavik – Isafjordur – Husavik – Akureyri – Thorshavn – Runavík – Scrabster – Immingham – Reykjavik).
8. LOMUR
Lomur was built in the year 2001 and sails on the Gray Line (Reykjavik – Isafjordur – Husavik – Akureyri – Thorshavn – Runavík – Scrabster – Immingham – Reykjavik).
9. LANGFOSS
Langfoss was built in the year 1991 and sails on the Orange Line which services the spot market in Norway and Northern Europe (calls ports Grimsby – Velsen – Stavanger – Bergen – Maloy – Alesund – Sandnessjoen – Sortland – Tromso – Hammerfest – Batsfjord – Kirkenes – Murmansk – Aberdeen).
10. POLFOSS
Polfoss was built in the year 2008 and sails on the Orange line.
11. STIGFOSS
Stigfoss is one of three sister-vessels that were acquired in 2005 by Eimskip. The vessel was built in Denmark in 1989 and has been in service all over the world before starting service for Eimskip. Stigfoss is one of many refrigerated vessels in operation for Eimskip in the North Atlantic. Stigfoss mostly calls ports in Norway and northern Europe. Like other refrigerated vessel that Eimskip operates it is built to service ports in small and remote areas.
12. SVARTFOSS
Svartfoss was built in the year 2005 and sails on the Orange line.
13. VIDFOSS
Vidfoss was built in the year 1990 and sails on the Orange line.
14. LAXFOSS
Laxfoss was built in the Netherlands in 1995 and is one of five sister vessels in the same class. Laxfoss is the 6th vessel with that name in service for Eimskip. The first vessel named Laxfoss was in service for Eimskip from 1969 until 1976. Eimskip bought Laxfoss in 2003 and from that date it has been operating on the spot-market transporting meal and other bulk cargo to and from Iceland and northern Europe.
15. HOLMFOSS
Holmfoss was built in the year 2007 and sails on the Orange line.
16. BALDUR
Ferry Baldur crosses Breidafjördur Bay daily from Stykkisholmur on the Snæfellsnes peninsula to Brjanslaekur in the North. A ferry ride considerably shortens the route between the south and mid-west of the country and the Westfjords region.
17. HERJOLFUR
Herjólfur is equipped with two main engines of 2.700 kW. The running speed is 16 nautical miles, which takes the vessel 40 minutes from the Westman Islands to Landeyjahöfn. The vessel carries 388 passengers and 60 automobiles in each journey. The vessel is fully equipped with nautical devices and emergency apparel according to the international SOLAS standards.
18. SAERUN
Saerun is our big catamaran (140 pax) which is sailing around the archipel area of the Breidafjordur Bay in West Iceland.
19. ICE STAR
Ice Star was built in the year 2008 and sails on the Red line (calls ports Reykjavik – Thorshavn – Aarhus – Swinoujscie – Fredrikstad – Halmstad – Aarhus – Reykjavik).
20. ICE MOON
Ice Moon was built in the year 2008 and sails on the Red line.
